MEET THE COLLECTOR

My ‘Meet the Collector’ series grew out of an interest I had from not only visiting many collectors houses and being amazed at the works featured and how each individual/couple had decided to hang the works, but also with an interest that collectors are often seen as alien to the artists they collect and completely unreachable. I wanted to break down these barriers between the artists and the collectors and to share incredible collections and stories from these people all over the world who collector outsider/self-taught/folk art - whatever they may call it. It has also allowed me to have conversations about the term outsider art and how each feels about it nowadays.
